Innovating and being innovative to ensure sustainable growth

The attitude to change is central to our identity. Innovation drives our daily actions and the sustainable growth strategy we constantly pursue. We see digitisation as a real engine of change, capable of renewing our services and our way of doing business, in order to meet the ever-changing needs of society.

DIGITISATION OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Managing, through specialised software, all data and information regarding the recruitment and hiring of employees, in order to optimise corporate organisational well-being and analysis

We are committed to growing in a responsible and forward-looking manner, along a path inspired by our values and oriented towards performance, quality, innovation and durability of our services.
The strategy we have defined looks to 2030 with the forward-looking ambition of contributing to changing the sector and building a shared and sustainable development.

Innovation and digitisation in the 2030 Strategy

Innovation and digitisation are the focus of our 2030 Strategy.

Elements of transformation and evolution of services as well as of the organisation, these are the tools that ensure a high degree of resilience with regard to our business model, allowing it to change and remain able to respond to the needs of clients and society, as well as up-to-date in terms of technology.

Sustainability in our 2030 Strategy

Sustainability is the third pillar of our Strategy.

In alignment with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we aim to implement every action necessary to fully integrate sustainability into our business.

Markas WOW

Markas WOW is an initiative launched in 2021 with the aim of working towards organisational process innovation at change management level and harmonising different business processes at international level. The “Controlling” project, launched in 2022, is the first project inspired by this initiative and aimed at optimizing international Controlling activities.

The Controlling project's ultimate goal is the reorganisation of the Controlling dimension within the company. The aim is to develop a control model for the Group at international level, which integrates the economic and financial monitoring needs of the central organisation with the needs and operating practices of individual national entities. During the first phase of development, the focus will be on identifying needs relating to processes, systems, tools and approaches in different countries in the Controlling area, starting from an accurate and precise analysis of the various processes, to then arrive at a change management that can meet the expectations of the different countries.

Markas Ideas

The Markas Ideas project was a real call for ideas, launched in 2022 by Markas to its staff, through which new ideas and innovative solutions could be proposed.

The goal of the challenge? To improve the working environment and to encourage collaboration between Markas offices, workers based in our clients’ premises, and countries. To participate in the project, each employee could upload, both individually and as a group with other colleagues, their ideas onto a dedicated portal, which were evaluated on the basis of certain criteria such as feasibility, sustainability and relevance to the corporate strategy. 67 people from Italy, Austria and Germany took part in the initiative, who contributed 69 ideas, more than 70% of which came from workers based in our clients’ premises and in particular from the Clean division.

9 ideas have already been shared with the offices concerned, which are considering how to design, implement and deliver them.

Our digitised services

Smartgate: the client communication platform that makes it possible to digitise and store contracted activities, in particular quality controls, requests for interventions by clients and shared documents and data that contribute to forming the invoiced value.

Oracle HCM: automation and digitisation of HR processes, in particular the correct tracking and communication of mandatory training, as well as the digitised management of recruiting and role changes within the company.

Digitisation of the bulk hiring process: digitisation of bureaucratic formalities and active involvement of the worker in contract initiations involving the bulk hiring of employees.

New “Unit” code: the digitisation of the procurement process, in other words the definition of a fully digitised and automated workflow, which follows the flow of activities that need to be defined and managed in conjunction with the winning of a contract, with the involvement of multiple players for the definition of roles and tasks and therefore the preparation of the environment to launch the service.
