Focus on artificial intelligence

In 2024, Markas will launch an innovative training program on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This initiative includes bite-sized educational modules designed to give employees practical, immediate insights into AI applications.

Additionally, the company is committed to developing a dedicated AI policy. This specific guideline will steer the integration and application of AI within company processes, ensuring an ethical and strategic use of new technologies.

This dual approach, combining training and policies, aims to strengthen internal competencies and keep Markas at the forefront of technological innovation.

Markas Lab Ideas: second edition

After the success of the first edition of Markas Lab Ideas in 2022, we launched an exciting new challenge in 2023 to inspire our team members to think big: "What sustainable actions can we promote at an individual, team, and company level?"

The goal was to gather ideas that can make a positive impact on the environment, economy, and society while remaining highly relevant to Markas.

We are proud to announce that we received 151 ideas, marking a 119% increase compared to the first edition, all of which will be carefully reviewed. A jury of Markas employees from various departments will evaluate each proposal.

This process reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation, engaging the entire company in finding sustainable solutions for the future.

Our digitalised services

Oracle HCM: We have enhanced our human resources automation and digitalization system with a new application, optimizing the recruitment and hiring processes for contracted staff. This enables more efficient management of mandatory training and internal workflows, fostering a more sustainable and inclusive work environment.

Digitalization of mass hiring processes: Successfully implemented this year, this project will be fully operational from 2024. It aims at digitalizing administrative formalities and actively engaging employees, facilitating in this way a more sustainable and participative contract initiation.

New "Unit" Code: The first phase of this project was completed in 2023, marking a significant step towards the complete digitalization of the contract initiation process. The next goal is to enable contracted staff to easily access key information on assignments, positions, and roles, promoting greater transparency and collaboration.
